About Vern University

VERN’ University is a leading Croatian higher education institution founded in 1990, located in
Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. An EU member state university operating fully within the
European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the Bologna Process, VERN’ is recognised for its
international academic orientation, strong industry connections, and sustained commitment to
quality assurance. The university hosts approximately 1,850 students and 200 lecturers, and
offers 10 undergraduate and 7 graduate programmes across disciplines including business,
media and communications, information and communication technology, tourism, and applied
arts.
VERN’ is the first Croatian university to receive the Superbrands distinction a recognition it has
maintained for 20 consecutive years and is consistently ranked among Croatia's top
universities by QUDAL (Quality Medal). Its research strengths include entrepreneurship, digital
media, sustainable tourism, and business-IT integration.

WHAT THESE ACCREDITATIONS MEAN FOR STUDENTS
EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register): VERN' is listed on EQAR the European
Union's definitive, trusted register of quality-assured higher education institutions, established
under the Bologna Process. Employers and academic institutions across 48 European countries
can instantly verify VERN’s standing through the EQAR database.
ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education): VERN’ is
accredited by ENQA, the body that authored the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for
higher education. ENQA membership requires full ESG compliance through rigorous external
peer review.
Erasmus+ Extended University Charter: Awarded by the European Union and active since
2011/12, this confirms VERN' as an EU-recognised academic institution participating in the
Erasmus+ student and staff mobility programme.
IAU / WHED (UNESCO International Association of Universities): VERN’ is listed in the IAU
World Higher Education Database — a UNESCO-managed global registry of recognised

MBA DBA Certificates
Master of Business Administration — dual certificate from CBA (UK) and VERN' University (Croatia).
Doctor of Business Administration — dual certificate from CBA (UK) and VERN' University (Croatia).
The VERN' University certificate is issued automatically upon successful completion of all CBA programme requirements. No separate dissertation defence is required. The VERN' certificate awards the general MBA or DBA title without specialisation; the CBA certificate reflects the student's chosen specialisation.
